A brief introduction to the knowledge about armchairs.
       The armchair developed from the cross chair. The obvious feature is that the back of the circle is connected to the armrests, which flow down from high to low. When sitting, people's arms can lean on the circle-shaped armrests, which makes them feel comfortable and very popular among people. With its round and graceful shape and strong body, it is one of the distinctive chair styles of our nation.
       Later, it gradually developed into an armchair for indoor use. The difference between it and the chair is that it does not have crossed legs, but uses four legs, with a wooden board as the surface, which is not much different from the chassis of an ordinary chair. Only the part above the seat surface still retains the shape of a top chair. Most of these chairs are displayed in pairs, and not many are placed individually. The back panels are all made into an "S"-shaped curve, which is made based on the curve of the human spine. It is a typical example of the scientific nature of Ming-style furniture.
